Winter Yeshivacation is an intensive journey of learning, self-discovery, and personal growth during winter break. It is a comprehensive study program in Judaic thought and life, through the lens of Torah and Chassidic teachings for both college students and women of all ages who want to start their journey to Judaism, to learn more about their Jewish identity or seek the opportunity to advance in Torah knowledge.

Machon Chana is located in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. A brief train ride away from the bustling business and shopping districts of Manhattan, Crown Heights, headquarters of the international Chabad Chassidic community, is also called “ a small town in the big city”.  Permeated with Chassidic warmth and the feel of “community” you’ll see people greet each other warmly in the street and shopkeepers on charming Kingston Avenue extend credit to people they know by face.

Program participants stay at our campus located in the heart of Crown Heights. The campus  houses the school, three Shuls  and dormitory apartments  Weekday lunches and dinners are served on campus, and Shabbat meals are in part shared with local hosted families, and in part held communally. This design, provides students with a varied social experience, along with an insider’s view to a traditional Chassidic home and family.

Shabbos- a day of rest. A time for reflection and meditation. A time also for joyful songs, feasting and “farbrenging” – gathering together to hear inspiring words of Chassidus and to say “L’Chaim”. Add to that warmth of a Jewish home, the delectable smells of the shabbos meal, and more fascinating discussions on topics that are important to you, in addition to Davening in 770 surrounded by authentic Chassidim ,  feeling the kedusha of being in the Rebbes Shul, you have the recipe for true Oneg Shabbos – the profound and lasting pleasure that is Shabbos at Machon Chana.

Yeshivacation has been involved in educating Jewish women for close to 50 years. Immerse yourself in a Torah learning program the largest of its kind outside of Israel. In addition, YeshivaCation boasts many leading scholars and guest lecturers and their instruction, wisdom, knowledge, and Chassidic warmth, serve to elevate the program and ensure a truly inspiring educational experience for you.
